We have been designing and marketing eCommerce companies since 1997. We work closely with out SEO clients to create optimized code, original copy, and maintain those strategies through ever-changing search engine algorithms. Through white hat search engine optimization we’ve drastically improved search engine results for three, distinctly different businesses with entirely different markets: a non-profit (Main Street Kent), a B2B (Custer Products), and a catering service (Taproot Catering). The means to achieve these results were very different as well because of the type of services or products for each client.

Main Street Kent is a non-profit that promotes the revitalization of a small, midwest city located in Ohio. Their website is mostly a directory of businesses in the community, and a hub for local events, services, and promotions. We achieved great search engine results, in part, because of information architecture (the structure of content and the user experience).

Custer Products is a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality LED lights for automotive, marine, and first responder industries. Because their target market are restricted to potential distributors, we had to develop an entirely different search engine marketing strategy unlike any other. Our focus was on information architecture, user experience, and also writing copy with a voice that spoke only to potential distributors. This included adding a blog and managing social media.

Taproot Catering already made incredible food for private events throughout Northeast Ohio, yet they didn’t have a social media presence. The food industry is a very saturated market for search engine optimization. We focused first on design, user experience, and a keyword strategy. Within a few months of launching, Taproot Catering placed within the top three results for their market and keywords in all search engines throughout Northeast Ohio. Upwards of 95% of their catering inquiries today are received through the website.

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing, or SMM, refers to the process of gaining traffic or attention through social media sites. Social media itself is a catch-all term for sites that may provide radically different social actions.
