Strange Phenomenon is a poster series about bizarre occurrences, phenomenon, and UFO culture. Or, anything you hear nightly on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.
Despite the constant losing, front office ineptitude (until those moneyballers took over), and poor coaching (Hue Jackson is changing it), Rust Creative are diehard Cleveland Browns fans. If you run into us and want to talk Browns – we could wax about the gridiron all night long.
The Kent Browns Backers call Water Street Tavern home on Sundays. They called on us to create a clean, minimal t-shirt. We chose to go retro, Tecmo Bowl-style with this one. And we had fun doing it, even if the Sundays haven’t been so kind to us Browns fans.
Kent Natural Foods Co-Op believes in operating a responsible co-operative market that provides healthful, natural foods and products at fair prices. Their cooperative provides bulk, chemical-and-additive free foods and products, that are locally and/or organically grown whenever possible. They believe in cooperation, open processes, information-sharing, community outreach, eduction, and consensus decision-making.
KNFC recently sought help promoting and marketing a fundraiser that would gather more awareness for the co-op as well as raise money for their store expansion. We put together an event for them, designed the posters and fliers, and helped raise over $5,000 towards their expansion.

Erie Street Kitchen asked Rust Creative to design a logo, menus, marketing materials, and signage.
The Peninsula Foundation supports a showcase of traditional roots music in the storied G.A.R Hall called Voices in the Valley. The Grand Army of the Republic Hall (GAR Hall) was originally built in 1851 as a one-room schoolhouse for Boston Township. It was used as a school until a new building was constructed across the street in 1887. In 1888, the building was remodeled into a meeting place for Civil War veterans.
The Peninsula Foundation was formed in 1997 by the late Robert L. Hunker and serves area residents, visitors, and school children by promoting historic preservation, maintaining archives, preserving artifacts, and providing tours of our historic buildings. The foundations preserves the heritage, maintains the character and promotes the vitality of Peninsula, Ohio and the Cuyahoga Valley by engaging the community through arts and educational programming and historic preservation.
We have designed everything from brochures to concert posters to branded wine labels that all celebrate the history of Peninsula and the thriving arts community surrounding them.
Roger Hoover is an Americana singer/songwriter and guitarist from Ohio. His latest release, Pastures, is a haunting collection of sublimely rendered ballads, like the revenant of a place that once existed. Over the years Hoover has carved out more of the well-worn Americana landscape than most writers accomplish in an entire career.
We began by creating a Kickstarter campaign for Roger that included art and video direction, as well as music creation. Hoover’s Kickstarter campaign raised $12,000 and secured his ability to record, produce, and publicize the release of his album. Upon completion, we designed all of the album artwork, press materials, designed & developed the website and ecommerce integration, and even printed and shipped tour posters.
